Industry
Sensitive personal data at scale, clinical continuity requirements, and a supply chain that reaches deep into care delivery.
Sector context
Healthcare organisations hold some of the most sensitive personal data there is, in estates that mix modern cloud services with clinical systems that cannot be patched on a normal cycle. The governance problem is distinctive: availability is a patient-safety concern rather than an operational one, and the people who must follow a control are clinicians whose primary obligation is to the patient in front of them. Controls that ignore that reality are documented and then bypassed.
Priorities
Not a generic control list — these are the four issues that come up in almost every engagement in this industry, and the ones a programme has to be designed around.
Privacy obligations depend on an accurate picture of what personal and health data is held, where, and for what purpose. Most privacy programmes stall because that inventory was assumed rather than established.
Business impact analysis in healthcare has to express consequence in terms of care delivery, not just downtime cost — which changes recovery objectives and the plans built to meet them.
Legacy clinical and diagnostic systems often cannot take conventional controls. Compensating controls, segmentation and monitoring have to carry the risk instead, and that decision needs to be recorded and accepted, not left implicit.
Annual e-learning does not reach a rotating clinical population. Training and attestation have to be role-targeted, short, and evidenced per person.
Regulatory landscape
What each one requires in practice, and how they relate to each other. Where several apply, they are implemented as one control set rather than as parallel programmes.
These are frameworks and regimes we work to on behalf of clients. They are not certifications or approvals held by Dabster Group.
How we support organisations in this sector
Typical engagements
SecureGRC · technology enablement
Privacy and information security risk domains, policy attestation across a large distributed workforce, asset registry covering clinical systems, and BIA-driven continuity planning.
Advisory work is platform-neutral by default. We implement into whatever system you already run.
