Industry
Operational technology that cannot simply be patched, and disruption measured in physical consequence rather than downtime.
Sector context
In industrial environments the security trade-offs are different in kind, not just degree. Availability and safety constrain what can be done to a control system, patching windows are measured in months, and equipment lifecycles outlast several generations of security tooling. Meanwhile IT and OT networks have converged faster than the governance around them, and the supply chain extends to smaller firms with far less security maturity than the operator at the centre.
Priorities
Not a generic control list — these are the four issues that come up in almost every engagement in this industry, and the ones a programme has to be designed around.
Risk assessment referencing assets nobody has inventoried is guesswork. In converged environments the inventory has to span both estates, with ownership and criticality recorded for each.
Where endpoint controls cannot be deployed, network architecture carries the risk. Segmentation and conduit design, and evidence that they hold, become the controls the whole programme rests on.
A treatment that reduces cyber risk while introducing a safety or availability risk is not an improvement. Treatment decisions need engineering input and a recorded acceptance where residual risk remains.
The supplier with the smallest contract may hold remote access to a production line. Assessment depth should follow the access and the consequence, not the spend.
Regulatory landscape
What each one requires in practice, and how they relate to each other. Where several apply, they are implemented as one control set rather than as parallel programmes.
These are frameworks and regimes we work to on behalf of clients. They are not certifications or approvals held by Dabster Group.
How we support organisations in this sector
Typical engagements
SecureGRC · technology enablement
Asset registry spanning IT and OT, incident management with a known-error database, third-party risk across the supplier network, and continuity plans proven through recorded testing.
Advisory work is platform-neutral by default. We implement into whatever system you already run.

Sector-specific scoping
Tell us which supervisory framework, standard or contractual requirement is driving the work. The assessment is scoped against that obligation and the control environment you actually operate.
